Here at Jalopnik, we like Police cars, unless they’re right behind us with the lights and siren on. When we think about intimidation, we immediately think CVPI, probably because they’ve been the only proper police car for over a decade and they have a lot of personality compared to most bland crossovers polluting our roads today. Here’s a list of ten Police cars that will make you shit your pants. Feel free to add your selection in the kinjas below.
10 - Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pack
9 - Dodge Charger Police Interceptor
8 - Chevrolet Caprice LT1 Police Cruiser
7 - Dodge RamCharger Highway Patrol car
6 - Plymouth Fury
5 - Volvo XC70
4 - Ford LTD Crown Victoria
3 - Jeep Cherokee
2 - Dodge Polara
1 - Dodge Diplomat

I hate police Explorers after one Officer McDickface pulled me over for suspiscious activivties. AFTER he slowed down staring at me in a parking lot.

I don’t see how the Cherokee or Volvo are intimidating at all, also the Charger (and I guess the Fury) are the cars that are actually designed angry.

Not really. Honestly surprised it didn’t flip over while they were taking the picture.

I feel like they would run over my truck due to horrible visibility and just respond with “i’m sure your insurance will cover that” then take off

Another vote for 4th gen Camaro.
Least intimidating? The K-Car Police cars. My local department used to use them in the 80’s. They did 0-60 in probably 20 seconds or so.

Nah, it’ll flip while trying to run over it. The BAE Caiman has a bad track record for flipping. As do most MRAPs.

These lists seem much better to me. Should add that while I can see how officers might like feeling bad ass, we really shouldn’t want our police to be projecting an air of intimidation (especially when we are the targets).

Wrong
This is the most intimidating police car
Welcome to virginia. Where speeding can net you more time behind bars then child molestation.

I agree.
Though civilian models are getting angrier-looking all the time, so it really can’t seem to be helped that the police version based upon them are going to continue to become angrier as well.
